Lakeside Stone Steps in Waterford Michigan
These 5′ wide stone steps create a grand staircase to the lake. In addition to the guilotineed cut stone steps, we also installed large pieces of Ohio Bluestone for the landings. These steps are 6″ tall which make it easier to climb. As always they are set on a compacted crushed limestone base. The sides of the steps are lined with 18 – 24″ boulders. Between the Large flagstone pieces we swept in slag sand and topped it off with polymeric sand to prevent washout.
